Today's post is miraculously ahead of schedule, who'd have guessed it eh? October has been absolutely make-up crazy for some reason, I've spent far too much money than I should have, and I've been loving the more autumnal make-up looks. So, without further ado, here are my October favourites!
1) NARS Creamy Concealer in Honey
I know, I'm late to the Creamy Concealer party, but I picked this little gem up in the US when I last visited in August, and I've been using it every day since. I had actually picked up the Make Up Forever HD Concealer at the same time, after many months of lusting after it, and I have barely used it! It's the perfect consistency for the under eye area, minimal creasing, a flattering dewy finish, and a lovely brightening effect - this is by far one of the best concealers I have ever used. Please believe me when I say I have tried a lot of concealers (my bank balance does!), and boy is this is a good one!
2) Anastasia AMREZY Palette
This little gem doesn't even need an introduction. Undoubtedly one of the prettiest palettes I've ever laid my eyes upon! The colours are perfect for this season, the pay off is incredible, and the intensity lasts all day (and night) long. Props Anastasia - this is a bloody good palette!
3) Hourglass ambient lighting palette:
I cannot say enough good things about this product. To me, it feels so luxurious, and although it's effect is somewhat subtle, I feel as though this product transforms my make-up. The three different powders are designed to illuminate, brighten, and add radiance to the face. I use the shade on the right (incandescent light) lightly all over the high points of my face, and it just takes my base make up to a whole new level! My skin has an almost satin effect - I love it! I bought this when I went to the US, and it was just under $60, but WELL worth it in my opinion! If you're after a product that's going to scream and shout, then this may not be for you, but if you're more about the subtle sheens and glow to the face, then I would definitely try it.
4) NARS 'laguna' bronzer:
Again, totally late to the party, but I picked this bronzer after hitting pan on my Benefit Hoola Bronzer, and I was so impressed with how flattering this product is! It's a little embarrassing just how wrecked this is, but I just had to include it!
5) Bare Minerals Bare Skin Foundation:
I've been trying to be a little gentler on my skin this month, and picked up this foundation in a bid to give my skin a much needed break! The Bare Minerals foundation loose powder was the first foundation I ever wore, but after dipping my feet into the world of liquid foundation, I just couldn't go back to wearing powders. I was so excited when I heard Bare Minerals were launching their first liquid foundation in August, and this is my second bottle since it's launch! It's water based, so it's super light, but it has a good amount of coverage! The shade matches me perfectly (there's a huge shade range), and the finish on the skin is incredible!
6) Anastasia Dip Brow in Brunette & Anastasia brow wiz in Brunette:
The Brow Wiz Pencil has been a firm favourite of mine for a long time, but I recently picked up the Dip Brow Pomade, which almost has a mousse-like texture. I use the MAC 266 angled brush to define my brows, focusing at the arch and ends of the brow. It's really easy to go overboard with this product, because of how pigmented it is, so it's best to use a light hand! It will last you for years!
7) Giorgio Armani Gloss D Armani in 516:
I'm not normally a fan of lip glosses, but this one is so pretty, it's not hard to like it! Not too shimmery, no stickiness, and a lovely neutral pink.
Aaand, that's everything! I really hope you enjoyed reading about some of my beauty favourites of October! What have you been enjoying lately? Let me know! @ayshh_
