I'd not quite anticipated the extent of a challenge it would be to pack for a weekend away to Paris. Usually, packing for a week long holiday is not a problem - 23kilos, and a huge case often leads to the 'I might need it, chuck it in' approach. But, in this case, I had 10 kilos, a small case, and a weekend's worth of activities ranging from sight-seeing to Disneyland to pack for.. what a nightmare.
So last night (I fly Saturday morning), I literally emptied my wardrobe, and sprawled it all onto my bed (hence why these photos are a little dishevelled), and attempted what at the time felt the impossible.
I was actually so shocked as to how little I actually ended up packing! I'll let you know if this was all enough, but I essentially packed six items of clothing:
I packed, two pairs of Black Joni Jeans from TopShop, a turtle neck cami from TopShop for disneyland, a silk cami from River Island for sightseeing, an obligatory hat (oh-so Parisian), and a berry coloured scarf for good measure. I decided to keep jewellery to a minimum, and added a pair of my new Vivienne Westwood earrings.
I thought it would be best to keep things quite monotone, and decided to bring both a leather Jacket, and my grey blazer coat just in case the weather turned out rubbish!
What are your plans for the weekend?
Ayse - are you a capsule convert then, how did it hold up? LOVING the colour palate, so mute and French and I'm swooning over your scarf x
ReplyDeleteI most definitely am! It was so much easier packing like this! You were my inspiration of course! x
