I'm not sure if it's the Winter weather, or the post-travelling skin frenzy, but my skin has literally gone into meltdown! I would like nothing more than to walk around with not a single scrap of make-up on, and to bathe my face in ice cold water, but unfortunately, life goes on!
So instead, I've been trying to be a little more selective with the make-up I'm wearing, to give my skin the break it's so desperately needing! This means throwing out any heavy foundations, powders, and concealers out of my make-up bag for a little while.
This leads me on to today's review! I picked up the Tarte Cosmetics Amazonian Clay BB Tinted Moisturiser in the shade 'Light', in the US earlier this summer, and used it for a couple of weeks. I then kind of forgot about it! In my desperation, I raided my make-up drawers in search of a light BB Cream, and couldn't believe I'd forgotten about this little gem!
It has probably the most coverage power than any other BB Cream I've ever used, and feels so smooth on the skin. I do need to dust a bit of translucent powder over my face to set the cream, which is something I usually avoid as I feel like my skin can't breathe (silly, I know), but this is pretty important when using this product, if you want it to last all day.
One of the things that I really love about this product, is how it's free from any nasties - it's paraben free, oil-free (perfect for oilier skin types - which is also a problem I'm experiencing at the moment), and also has an SPF of 20 - not that that's needed much in the UK at the moment! The product is also supposed to help balance and revitalise your skin - and keep your pores unclogged (cute, right?).
Anyway, enough rambling! I just wanted to share with you this little gem - I'm hoping this, along with my intense fifty-step skincare routine (no exaggeration), will help my skin get over it's little breakdown!
I'll keep you posted! x
